I am experiencing a momentary style rut. My wardrobe is building into a heap of boredom, and the cold rain does not aid in satisfying my craving for Spring looks. I find myself constantly swaying towards comfortable, monochrome basics, and topping it all off with super warm outerwear. The plan is to have a major closet clear-out, and aid my local Oxfam Charity Shop. The void will be quickly replaced with new, inspiration inducing items .

Last night was one of those evenings that has all intentions of ending early, but actually results in raucous behaviour, and memory loss in the early a.m. The festivities commenced with homemade cupcakes, and champagne before heading to my preferred Chelsea hangout, Barts. This discreet bar is located within an apartment block, and has one of the most unique entrances imaginable. The minuscule venue possesses quirky antique furnishings, a family of friendly bar staff, and shots are served in ladies who lunch teacups. Once their lethal teacup shooters take effect, each patron is encouraged to sway to the music, and utilize their weird, but wonderful costume selection. By midnight, the boy was wearing a frizzy blonde wig, our friend had grown severely attached to his full body penquin suit, the table permeated the smell of tequila and sambucca, and a Kate Middleton sighting had occurred. Our reckless, alcohol infused minds then decided the time had come for real dancing. I am not entirely sure when the night ended, or how I found my bed, but our hundred drunken photos tell the story of a good night out.

Yesterday started with a late, wine fused lunch, and ended with me practically passing out the moment I reached home. Hours were spent teetering on five inch heels, attempting to avoid rain, and partaking in gossip/catch-up sessions with my favourites. I managed to visit the maze of exhibits at Somerset House, and spotted the very tall Erin O' Connor contemplating possible looks for the Elle Style Awards. The evening closed with a super fresh Mexican dinner at Wahaca, sips of rose champagne, and deep exhaustion. I am very thankful for my thoughtful husband who saved me from public transport, and was happy retrieve and chauffeur me home.

Staying in tonight. Homemade meal, wine, and candles sounds like heaven.

I love the constant playful nature that is present during London Fashion Week. Where else would you spot antlers, and full on furry eyebrows on the catwalk? I would love to sit beside a cozy campfire wearing one of these animal headdresses and a white lace dress, munching on smores, gulping jd and coke, while laughing loudly with friends.

An unlikely scene, but one can daydream.

I wouldn't mind getting my paws on a pair of those black, platform ankle boots either.
