she enjoys the instant buzz...

Zara blouse, Topshop shorts, vintage Wrangler boots, H&M hat, Chloe Paddington, and scarf from random Hong Kong boutique.

Let me share my uniform shopping outfit while in Hong Kong: flat ankle boots, Chloe Paddington, comfy tights, sheer blouse, short shorts, leopard scarf, gold beanie, and Starbucks cup.

I prefer easily removable garments for quick changing room experiences, a few accessories to test-style certain garments, an extra large bag for all necessities, and a friendly dose of caffeine for energy induced editing.

she fights to avoid reality...

Chloe dress, Versace leather jacket, Asos hat, Topshop boots.

Notting Hill is cold and deserted, so I've been sleeping non-stop since my return, missing the crowded family atmosphere from our holidays, and anticipating an exciting 2010. Today productivity will be attempted through a hardcore gym session and some sales shopping.

Don't you love the koi pond outside of my room at my Dad's? He's intensely dedicated to Feng Shui, resulting in a serious calm and optimistic air throughout his entire place. Can't wait to return in one month...the perfect break from reality.

she willed the day to never end...

RVCA tank,vintage sequin skirt,H&M men's hat,Topshop necklace,scarf from Portobello Market,New Look boots,H&M tights and bracelets.

I stumbled sleepily off the plane into the piercing cold air, and slowly sank at the realization that vacation was over. The worst part of returning home is always the instant chill, but I have come back far happier and slightly heavier. We managed the best Christmas trip in our history, brimming with touching family moments, extreme generosity, vodka induced insanity, and hilarious anecdotes that will sustain for years. Every moment was spent solely with family, but I could not have had a better time partying, dining, shopping, or laughing with anyone else. I feel incredibly lucky...the boy and I are already planning our relocation to Hong Kong in several years time.

There are seriously so many photos to share from my trip, but lets start slowly. First comes what I wore and ate on the warmest day, since this outfit would be impossible in a London December.

Hope all of you are having an amazing holiday season!

P.S. What is everyone wearing for New Years Eve? Still don't know what I'm doing, or what the outfit of choice will be. Such a procrastinator at heart!

she would not change one moment...

Vintage vest borrowed from my cousin, Kate Moss for Topshop blouse, Zara leather shorts, Warehouse hat, and New Look shoes.

Yesterday was an appropriately fun filled event all beginning with a satisfying dim sum brunch. We browsed though endless rails of clothes, sampled the best of designer footwear, stroked buttersoft leather bags, purchased Alexander Wang, and traipsed through fragrant streets in pleasing warm temperatures. I returned home happily, with heavy shopping bags, and a tired, giddy buzz.

I will share documentation of our after dark adventures later this week...expect gourmet French cuisine, Hong Kong's skyline accompanied by a killer mojito, and insanity courtesy of Grey Goose, champagne, and dance inducing music.
still shaking from the hangover as we speak ;-)

Thank you to the sweet reader who said "hi" in Aldo while I was in a shoe purchasing frenzy!

she started with a slow begininng...

Topshop silk blazer, necklace, and boots, vintage blouse, Alexander Wang Diego bag.

Yesterday was the beginning of my three day birthday fest. Since my big day decided to land on Monday, the most boring day of the week in my opinion, we decided to kick off the celebrations with a relaxing start. I indulged in a soothing facial and hour long massage, lazed lakeside whilst soaking in bright sunshine, and ended with a tummy bulging, five course, gourmet meal at Wang Steak. My mission today is to find the ideal dress for my insane party tomorrow night. Will keep you guys updated via twitter!!

Birthday Girl

fashiongonerouge

Today is my birthday and I hope to party like a rockstar, and emulate her careless attitude. I promise to down champagne, and have cake flying in all directions. Photographic documentation soon to follow!

Sorry for the blogging break, but we all get lazy during vacation. Internet is limited, and I have been collecting relaxation in abundance. I promise to update snaps of my trip tomorrow.

she lives the healthy life...

Zara vest worn over Topshop boutique blazer, H&M tunic, mixture of vintage and Topshop necklaces, H&M bracelets, New Look shoes.

You know it has been a good night when you're stumbling home at 5am with your heels in hand, yearning for a slice of toast and cozy slumber. After hungrily consuming a late dinner, converging with a clutter of Notting Hillers, picking up a crate of alcohol from E&O, and closing with a raging house party, we headed home to sleep until late afternoon, only to wake and feast on junk all over again. It's almost vacation time :-)

she anticipates the eventual calm...

Topshop tunic, shorts and necklace, Warehouse hat, New Look shoes, Accessorize tights.

Feeling a wave of exhaustion in the week before vacation. I am currently engulfed in an endless sea of errands, dinner dates, drinks rendezvous, Christmas parties, and projects that must be completed before departure. Ecstasy will hit the minute I am comfortably lounging on my 12 hour flight, anticipating arrival in warm and buzzing Hong Kong.
Please bring Sunday closer.

On a happier note...how great is this beaded beanie. I'm think it's love.

she opened with good intentions...

Zara blazer, vintage tee, Topshop shorts, Asos hat, H&M tights.

Monday started with saintly intentions of a casual, sober dinner, and ended 5 bottles of wine later. We visited exquisite Thai restaurant, Benja, and devoured deliciously addictive, pepper infused prawn crackers, mouthwatering spicy seafood, sweet, tender duck breast, and creamy coconut ice cream. Although the fast and yummy Thai joints surrounding our current residence always satisfies my craving, nothing beats Benja's calm atmosphere, gourmet recipes, and elegant, traditional decor. The boy has already accumulated a list of dishes he must sample on our next visit.

she moves through the undecided...

Zara vest and blouse, Topshop shorts, Ashish for Topshop wedges,Chloe bag,Miss Selfridge headband, and Rolex watch.

In the early am, when sleep evaded me, I decided to immerse myself in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which provided captivating qualities in abundance. My eyes feasted on Barcelona's idyllic scenery, while my thoughts fully engrossed in the twisted romantic story. But what truly captured my emotions was the passionate portrayal of each female character.

The film focuses on three beautiful characters. Women, extreme in their personalities, differing greatly from each other, all maneuvering through undecided paths. I began to ponder the eccentricities of female personalities; striking and provocative, creative and beautifully insane, reserved and controlled. Are we all unusual combinations of these extremes, only letting slip what we feel comfortable sharing? I am shy, conservative, moody, emotional, spontaneous, lazy, pensive, passionate, dedicated, stubborn, argumentative, and silly, but never all at once. Aspects of myself reveal themselves at certain moments, when one coerces the emotion. It would be impossible to be the same person in every moment, and as my relationships build the more multi faceted my identity becomes. Maybe, no matter how much one believes they have planned, we are all navigating through the unknown. For me, I enjoy the unforeseen, dipping into different friendships, conversations, reaching for comforts that will drive me further down my own undecided path.

A Satisfying Fix

Asos dress, Versace leather jacket, bangles from Kabiri, H&M, and Portobellow Market, Dior bag, Rolex watch.

I've been trawling the internet for ideal party attire, obscure hair accessories, power shoulder outerwear, and essential basics, and I am happy to announce Asos as a haven all of the above. I spotted everything from the perfect sequin dress to an affordable, luxurious robe. Any website that offers red lip gloss alongside a selection of Vintage Rolex watches is stylish in my book. And to make matters even more exciting, it can arrive at your doorstep that day if you reside in the London area. Literally this site is 911 (or 999) to the avid shopper who despises December crowds. The Mono Print Cut-Out dress immediately caught my eye, with its flirty shape, and year round credibility. For our rainy London evening, I paired it with tights and a leather jacket, but I'm greatly anticipating its first outing with tan bare legs and studded sandals.

Best of Tokyo

Leopard print dress from random boutique in Hong Kong, Versace leather jacket, necklace from Portobello Market.

We all know I have a slight addiction to travel. My dreams are frequently filled with tropical beaches and humidity, obscure delectable cuisine, neon illuminated lights displaying a foreign tongue, and submerging in unfamiliar traditions and culture. Sitting patiently at the top of my "must see" list is Tokyo, a city with hot dog vending machines, goldfish pedicures, endless sushi and ramen joints, and the new Opening Ceremony store. I was devastated to hear that my Father and brother are taking a trip to my "must see" destination a mere week before my arrival in Asia. Could they not have waited just 7 days?! So after much pouting and disdain I was promised a suitcase full of gifts upon their return. But what to ask for?! Any of you out there have recommendations...anything from beauty products and fashion to your favourite or most obscure Japanese candies and cookies. All suggestions are welcome!

she divulges the bare essentials...

DVF dress, H&M bangles.

There is often speculation on this blog about my daily activities, and how I circulate an income which allows constant evenings out, and spontaneous travel. I am not overly enthusiastic about divulging details, but lets just say I am incredibly lucky to work for family under flexible circumstances, and it is not at all fashion related. One of my few job requirements includes attending events as the 'face' of our company, and the soiree of choice last night was T3's annual winter party, sponsored by our insanely cool PR team. We devoured mini burgers and brownies, delved into a sea of Coronas, and witnessed the very brave take turns on a giant vodka luge. Our taxi arrived precisely when the music ceased. Great nights end with perfect timing.
