Dell Studio 17 Review

In June 2009 I decided to buy a new laptop. After reading a lot of reviews about different laptop-manufacturer like Samsung, Sony and HP my final decision fell upon a Dell Studio 17. The reasons for this were the very good price value, the high quality of Dell products and the 17inch screen that was recomended for working with Words, Excel and so on.

just one too many

My brother's first visit to Paris commenced with his 24th birthday celebration. Despite the fact that we were on a family vacation, his wishes to party in style were not ignored. I pulled out my favourite backless, vintage dress and we all devoured a seafood feast before descending on Kong for exuberant celebration. The dancing did not cease until close, and we even attempted the one mile walk to VIP for further debauchery. It is safe to say memories of the night closing are scattered, and most likely inaccurate. Luckily croque monseiurs and Laduree macaroons were readily available to facilitate our extreme hangovers the next morning.
Happy Birthday Tim!!

Zara blazer, Topshop top and wedges, New Look skirt, Chloe Paddington and Miu Miu sunglasses.

PARIS: hotel dans Le Marais, abundant seafood platters, floods of champagne and celebration, party at Kong, impossible search for taxis at 4am, ridiculous hangovers, wine driven afternoons, long walks with frequent shopping stops, Chanel temporary tattoos, potent cocktails from Hotel Costes, Laduree macaroons and cappuccinos, and plenty of family bonding.

We're now in Burgundy. Anticipating gourmet feasts, far too much wine, and early nights.

My brother's Obey t-shirt, River Island fringed vest, New Look skirt, H&M bracelets, F21 and Asos rings.

The past few days have been spent with family in Frankfurt, dressing casually, and being absolute carnivores. I am now seriously anticipating our arrival in Paris. By Saturday afternoon I should be utilizing my minimal French skills, consuming oysters in abundance, making shopping stops at Colette and Chanel, and celebrating my brother's 24th birthday in style. Can't wait!

box it up

vintage tee and skirt, thrifted denim jacket, Asos over the knee socks, Ashish for Topshop wedges, and silver aviators from Portobello Market.

playing dress up in the boy's storage space, failing to pack lightly for our trip, gorging on lebanese take-out, watching back to back episodes of 90210, attempting to organize a bursting wardrobe, consuming pints of green tea, and re-painting my nails a seriously bright red.

so excited to depart on another journey tomorrow. frankfurt for a few days then paris for the weekend! yay!

perfect imperfection

(weheartit and google images)

So captivated by Sienna Miller in Alfie. Her character, Nikki, is stunning, unique, carefree, vulnerable, and damaged all at once. I always sway towards the imperfect heroines. And of course we can't forget the lust worthy hair, eye make-up, and style.

Spring is just around the corner, and these layered looks are the perfect transition while London remains its chilly self.

friendship with a side of tequila

River Island dress, Topshop boots.

Best friends are the essential ingredient for unforgettable nights. I met mine at the age of 15, as a shaky teenager getting ready to attend boarding school in a foreign land. Her confidence and nonchalance was the ideal antidote to my insecurity and homesick behaviour. For seven years we were inseparable, spending every free hour at school together, planning weekly drunken pub nights, sneaking out for random shopping excursions, and vacationing on the beach when we should be studying (according to her if you sleep on your textbooks the knowledge still enters your brain.) Her home and family quickly became my sanctuary from boarding school. After graduation she vetoed University, while I took a year off. We immediately moved to London accompanied by big dreams and a huge craving for partying. I pursued a career in fashion while she was signed to a top modelling agency. I still remember assisting at fashion publications, and sneaking her cards into the pile of editor's favourites. Due to the fact that both of us now live with the boys in our lives, have scattered groups of friends around London, and both lead busy lifestyles, meeting has become slightly more sparse than the past, but there are always moments like last night when we spend hours, joined at the hip, gossiping, laughing, and dancing.
