she cares to dip below the surface...

Zara blouse, vintage fur and shorts, Steve Madden boots.

I would definitely consider myself a hardcore city girl. My life would be incomplete without late night deliveries after a vodka soaked party, a daily routine of swerving at snail pace through swarms of pedestrians, and the instant relief after spotting a glowing taxi light when stuck in sudden downpour. Many believe it is impossible to experience loneliness in a city full of millions, where the lights, art, culture, and cuisine are entertaining companions, but I have come to find that at times the hard pavement and fake pretenses can result in the worst kind of isolation. We all have those days when you feel like curling up into a ball of illness, only so a loved one can assist you with your every need, when you need a warm hand to hold, or the comfort of conversation with someone who cares to penetrate the pristine surface. I often forget how lucky I am to have the boy, and the healing powers of several bottles of wine beside a cozy fire with true friends.
